Preparing for Success

Whether you’re headed to professional school or the career world, it is our mission to make sure that you are prepared. The Career Center is your source for personal career and job search development from the start of your college journey until the end. You will graduate with the practical knowledge and skills needed to contribute immediately to whatever endeavor you pursue. It is no wonder that the Wall Street Journal ranked us among the top 25 colleges in the nation for graduating the most well-prepared students. A degree from Texas Tech sets you up for success.

The University Career Center is a place where students can come and start exploring their resources for what they want to do after college.

They offer mock interviews, resume critique. They help you with finding internships or shadow experiences, as well as jobs after you graduate.

Students who use their University Career Centers are more likely to find jobs, three times more likely to find jobs upon graduation versus students who don't use Career Services.

Other resources such as our Career Closet, where we're able to give a student a full suit as well as the etiquette dinners, the mocktail parties, to prepare students for professional situations where they'll need to know how to act and how to be professional in a professional setting.

I have friends that have had success using Career Services. I have friends that are graduating this year and they found their career through that resource on campus.
